Write for us
Honest Match Journal welcomes pitches that make matchmaking culture clearer through a focused question, careful explanation or well-framed account of a social custom. Proposals should inform without promising romantic results or turning personal preferences into rules.
What we welcome
Pitch pieces about introductions, social settings, dating language, first meetings or the history of matchmaking customs. Strong proposals examine one defined subject and show what a reader will understand by the end.
What makes a good pitch
Tell us the working idea, its central question, the intended reader and why it belongs in Honest Match Journal. Include a brief note on the material or sources you would use, and flag any relevant personal or commercial interest. We do not need a finished article with the first approach.
How to send a proposal
Send your proposal through the Contact page and choose the editorial question option. Please include enough detail for us to assess the idea; a pitch is not a promise of publication, and we will not ask you to claim expertise you do not have.
Connection begins with attention
Honest Match Journal looks at the choices around meeting, not at formulas for finding a perfect partner. We favour clear distinctions, thoughtful questions and room for people to decide what suits them.
